Our client is a bold, feminist-led, trauma-informed organisation delivering long-term recovery and healing for women impacted by domestic, family and sexual violence.

As the Centre continues to grow, we are excited to introduce a
brand-new Senior Counsellor role
, designed to strengthen clinical leadership, deepen therapeutic practice, and support the ongoing development of our counselling team.

This is a unique opportunity to step into a senior, values-led role within a
rapidly expanding, purpose-driven organisation
, where your expertise will directly shape practice, people and programs.

About the role
As Senior Counsellor, you will:

* Deliver high-quality, trauma-informed counselling to women with complex DFSV experiences
* Work across evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, TF-CBT, schema, somatic, narrative or similar trauma therapies
* Facilitate DFSV-focused therapeutic groups that prioritise safety, empowerment and healing
* Provide
mentoring, debriefing and informal clinical leadership
to counsellors within the team
* Contribute to service development, reflective practice, quality improvement and therapeutic policy
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary, feminist, survivor-centred model of care

This role reports to the Therapeutic Lead and has a strong focus on
clinical leadership without stepping away from meaningful client work
.

About you
You are likely to bring:

* 8–10+ years' counselling experience supporting women impacted by DFSV and complex trauma
* Tertiary qualifications in counselling, psychology, social work or a related discipline
* Registration or eligibility with AHPRA, AASW, ACA, PACFA or APS
* Strong experience in risk assessment, safety planning and complex case management
* Confidence supporting, mentoring or supervising other practitioners
* A genuine alignment with feminist, trauma- and violence-informed, recovery-oriented practice
