Junior IT Technician – Casual / Part-Time
AirborneIT is looking for a motivated Junior IT Technician to join our growing team on a casual / part-time basis, with the possibility of moving into a full-time role as the business continues to grow. This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who enjoys technology, problem-solving and helping people. You will work alongside experienced technicians and gain hands‐on experience across devices, networks, cloud services, onsite support and project work.
About the role
You will assist with day‐to‐day IT support, including troubleshooting, hardware setup, software support, user account assistance and general technical tasks. This is a casual / part‐time role with flexible hours depending on workload, client requirements and project needs. For the right person, there may be an opportunity for the role to grow into a full‐time position. The role includes onsite work and travel to client locations, so applicants must be comfortable travelling when required.
Key responsibilities
* Provide first‐level IT support to clients and staff
* Set up and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, tablets, printers and mobile devices
* Assist with Microsoft 365, Teams, email and user account support
* Support basic Wi‐Fi, network and internet troubleshooting
* Prepare and deploy devices
* Assist senior technicians with onsite support and project work
* Travel to client sites as required
* Document work completed and communicate clearly with clients
* Escalate complex technical issues when required
Essential requirements
Applicants must have:
* At least one recognized IT industry certification
* National Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain one
* Current WA driver's licence
* Willingness to travel for onsite work when required
* Availability for casual / part‐time work
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
* Professional attitude when working with clients and team members
Recognised certifications may include:
* Microsoft Fundamentals certification, such as MS‐900, AZ‐900 or SC‐900
* CompTIA A+, Network+ or Security+
* Cisco CCNA or similar networking certification
* Certificate III or IV in Information Technology
* Other relevant IT, networking, cloud or cybersecurity certifications
Highly regarded
* Previous IT support, helpdesk or onsite technician experience
* Experience with Microsoft 365, Windows devices, printers, Wi‐Fi or networking
* Experience working in regional or remote environments
* A current pilot licence would be a welcome bonus, but is not essential for the role
