Clinical Midwife Manager – Fixed Term Full-Time
Fixed Term Full‐Time appointment at 76 hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. This is a 12‐month fixed‐term appointment based in the Pilbara region, supporting more than 400 antenatal women and approximately 300 births annually.
Position Profile
Provide leadership and operational oversight across core Midwifery Services, Midwifery Group Practice, and Community Midwifery Programs, ensuring safe, high‐quality, women‐centred care for families across the region. Lead a dedicated multidisciplinary team and influence service development, strengthening continuity models of care within a supportive regional health service.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage financial, staffing and clinical resources for Maternal and Newborn Services.
* Lead and facilitate complex change management processes.
* Provide innovative solutions to complex and sensitive problems.
* Ensure high levels of customer service and adherence to contemporary quality and risk management principles.
* Coordinate and mentor clinical staff across maternity and community settings.
Qualifications & Experience
* Demonstrated specialist knowledge and experience in the management of Maternal and Newborn Services.
* Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise and consult across diverse contexts.
* Well‐developed conceptual, analytical, and evaluation skills.
* Knowledge of contemporary quality and risk management principles.
