**Job Title:** Heavy Plant Maintenance Technician


Our client operates across civil, road construction and industrial projects in regional Western Australia. They have a strong pipeline of ongoing works and are committed to upholding industry-leading HSE standards.

**Job Description:** We are seeking an experienced Heavy Plant Maintenance Technician to join two separate regional teams. The successful candidate will work closely with site supervisors and the maintenance crew to ensure plant availability and reliability. The primary focus is on civil and road-construction plant (graders, loaders, excavators, water carts, rollers).

Key Responsibilities:
1. Fault find, diagnose and repair heavy diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics and final drives.
2. Perform scheduled maintenance, servicing and plant inspection checks.
3. Attend breakdowns and provide timely, safe repairs on site or in the workshop.
4. Maintain accurate maintenance records, service sheets and parts requests.
5. Follow site HSE procedures and participate in toolbox talks and inductions.
6. Liaise with site supervisors and parts / warehouse teams to manage inventories and minimise downtime.


**Essential Qualifications & Experience:**

* Trade qualification or formal apprenticeship as a Diesel / Heavy Fitters or equivalent experience.
* Demonstrated experience working on heavy plant — excavators, loaders, graders, rollers, tipper trucks etc.
* Strong hydraulics, powertrain and diesel engine fault-finding skills.
* Current driver's licence (manual preferred) and reliable transport.
* Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously in regional environments.
