Detailed Job description :
The Computer Network & Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and operating enterprise networks and core systems across on‐premises, data centre, and cloud environments. The role spans high‐level and low‐level design, build, migration, performance optimisation, and Level 3 support, with strong emphasis on network reliability, security, automation, and documentation.
* Translate business requirements into HLD/LLD for LAN/WAN/WLAN, DC fabrics, and interconnects
* Design and deploy routing, switching, segmentation (VLAN/VRF), and QoS policies
* Build and migrate data centre networks (e.g., VXLAN/EVPN, ACI/NSX)
* Design and implement cloud networking: VPC/VNet, transit/peering, hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute/Direct Connect/VPN)
* Engineer high availability and disaster recovery for network and system services
Operations, Performance & Reliability
* Serve as L3 escalation for complex incidents and problems; lead RCA and remediation
* Monitor capacity and performance; tune QoS, queuing, buffers, and MTU/PMTUD where required
* Manage DNS/DHCP/NTP, IPAM, and certificate dependencies impacting network operations
* Maintain config/state backups, golden configs, and ensure NTP/AAA integrity
* Own patching/upgrade runbooks and change management (CAB) best practices
Security & Compliance
* Implement least privilege, zoning, and north/south & east/west inspection
* Enforce policy-as-code, configuration compliance, and vulnerability remediation
* Support audits and frameworks (ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks, Essential Eight, NIST CSF)
* Conduct traffic analysis and threat hunting with SIEM/NDR inputs
