Overview
Our client is a highly regarded property group with a strong national presence, known for delivering high-performing retail environments and fostering collaborative, high-performing teams. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Commercial Portfolio Manager to join a busy retail asset on the Gold Coast. This role is ideal for someone looking to build on their property management experience and gain exposure across operations, finance, and tenant engagement within a retail environment.
The Role: Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the asset, supporting both operational and administrative functions while also taking ownership of a smaller asset.
Responsibilities
* Providing day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Centre Management team
* Managing tenant relationships and responding to enquiries from tenants, customers, and contractors
* Overseeing tenant insurance records, bank guarantees, and key registers
* Assisting with lease administration including rent reviews, lease set-ups/terminations, and maintaining tenancy schedules
* Managing arrears, issuing notices, and supporting debt collection processes
* Coordinating repairs and maintenance, contractor engagement, and compliance requirements
* Assisting with budgeting, outgoings reconciliations, and financial reporting
* Supporting casual mall leasing administration and tenant sales reporting
* Preparing reports, meeting minutes, and general correspondence
Qualifications
* Previous experience in property administration or assistant property management (retail highly regarded)
* Strong understanding of retail leasing processes and documentation
* High attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills
* Confident communicator with the ability to build strong tenant and stakeholder relationships
* Proactive, team-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
* Intermediate skills across Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Experience with Cirrus8 or similar systems (advantageous)
* Current Certificate of Registration (essential)
