Hotel Talent is delighted to announce a position as a Chef de Partie to join a renowned kitchen team in a 4
* Hotel. The ideal candidate will aim to contribute to the production of the highest possible food quality in the delegated section, and to co-ordinate and be responsible for staff in the delegated section. All production is carried out in line with appropriate food portion control, the departmental business plan, and service concepts.
Responsibilities :
* Prepares and properly garnishes all food orders as they are received in accordance with menu specifications, ensuring proper plate presentation.
* Sets up for lunch and dinner by ensuring proper amounts are in place for forecasted covers, special functions, and all reservations.
* Orders adequate supplies for own section, and sets up “mis-en-place” for section.
* Works closely with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure the highest standards are met and followed.
* Follows and adheres to proper safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
* Confers closely with the Sous Chef and takes every opportunity to become familiar with all aspects of his or her position, to be ready to fill in whenever required.
* Knows how to follow applicable laws regarding food safety and sanitation.
* Performs additional ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements :
* Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience preferably at a similar level or at Demi Chef de Partie level.
* Must be passionate about food and service.
* Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent command of the English language.
