Medical Receptionist / Administrator - Casual Position Specialists on Hutt - Adelaide, SA
Specialists on Hutt is a growing specialist medical practice located on Hutt Street, Adelaide. We are seeking a capable and friendly Medical Receptionist to provide casual support to our team. This role is initially to cover Mondays, with the potential to assist during staff absences due to illness or annual leave. Potential to take on additional hours in the new year as the practice continues to expand.
About the Role: This is a varied role combining front desk reception with general administration. As a Medical Receptionist/Administrator, you will provide assistance and support to a range of specialists, including respiratory and sleep physicians, neurologists, neurosurgeons, and geriatricians.
You will be the first point of contact for patients, so professionalism, warmth, and efficiency are key. While prior experience in healthcare is desirable, it is not essential. Training can be provided to the right candidate.
Responsibilities
* Welcoming and assisting patients in a professional and caring manner
* Answering calls and managing patient enquiries
* Booking and managing appointments
* Processing patient accounts, including invoicing and payments
* Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
What We're Looking For
* Prior experience in medical reception and administration (preferred but not essential)
* Highly organised, reliable, and efficient
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* A dedication to maintaining high service standards
Role Requirements
* Familiarity with Gentu software is an advantage, but not essential.
* Understanding of Medicare and private health fund billing is desirable.
* Knowledge of privacy, confidentiality, and medical ethics.
* A current National Police Certificate.
* Australian residency and work eligibility.
