Role Title: Superdome / HP-UX Engineer

Location: Anywhere in Australia

Start Date: Immediate

Duration: 12 Months with high possibility of extension

Working Flexibility: Hybrid

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced HP-UX Engineer to administer and maintain HPE Superdome systems. This role involves OS lifecycle management, patching, performance optimisation, and supporting mission-critical workloads.

Key Responsibilities

* Administer and maintain HPE Superdome / Superdome Flex systems running HP-UX.
* Manage system configurations, kernel parameters, LVM, VPARs/nPARs.
* Perform patching, firmware upgrades, and OS lifecycle management.
* Troubleshoot OS issues and ensure high availability.
* Support backup and recovery workflows including Ignite-UX.
* Collaborate with storage, network, and application teams.
* Maintain documentation and operational standards.

Skills & Experience

* Strong experience managing HP-UX systems in enterprise environments.
* Knowledge of Superdome architecture, nPAR/vPAR management, LVM, and Serviceguard.
* Expertise in HP-UX patching, firmware updates, and OS upgrades.
* Strong troubleshooting skills for mission-critical UNIX environments.
* Ability to work across infrastructure teams effectively.
