Chandler Macleod are seeking experienced Chefs to join a dynamic team within a large catering facility in Tullamarine.
Our client is a leading food manufacturer, supplying meals to many of the worlds' major Airlines.
Your role will involve; preparing, cooking, and assembling food to exceed customer expectations.
This is a casual role with full-time hours and opportunities to progress to perm.
* Day Shift: 7:00 AM start
* Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM start
* Night Shift: 11PM Start
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare, cook, and assemble food based on client specifications
* Follow written instructions/ recipes
* Repetative lifting and manual handling up to 25kg
* Maintain and adhere to HACCP and OHS policies and standards.
* Work under tight time constraints to meet KPIs and customer demands
* Manage food production, including stock levels and quantities
* Conduct quality control checks throughout production
* Supervise and coordinate the work of Catering Assistants
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
* Recent experience in a food manufacturing or high-volume kitchen environment
* Complete a 2 hour trial onsite
* Flexibility to work both day and afternoon shifts
* Availability for on-call shifts or overtime as required
* Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
* Full working rights and availability in Australia
* Strong work ethic, reliability, and initiative
* A passion for food and customer satisfaction
