Role Overview
The Simulator Technician is responsible to the Maintenance Manager to perform all preventative and corrective maintenance on training devices under support in a secure and effective manner, ensuring maximum successful training events are able to be achieved by the end user.
This role is based at RAAF Base Richmond, NSW.
The role we are offering you
- Carry out all maintenance tasks as required and directed by Senior Simulator Technician or Maintenance Manager.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks meet internal and external compliance requirements.
- As a technician, you will get to work on world-leading flight simulator technology.
- Work to CAE’s Environment, Health and Safety standards.
Our ideal candidate has:
- A current NV1 security clearance.
- Must be an Australian Citizen.
- Technician/Mechanical trade skill is desired, such as electronic tech, electrician, IT professional, etc.
- Sound IT knowledge and ability to learn systems quickly.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Avionics technician certification, experience or knowledge will be a big plus!
- Be able to work in a team environment.

- 4 days on, 4 days off rotating roster.
- 5 weeks annual leave + shift loading.
Security requirements
As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
