The Role
The Account Manager plays a crucial role in driving sales growth and strengthening relationships across the VIC Metro region. The focus is on developing new business in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne.
The role involves building strong partnerships with clients, understanding their challenges, and delivering tailored solutions across Dahlsens' wide range of products and services.
Responsibilities
* Developing and managing a strong sales pipeline to achieve or exceed targets.
* Building and maintaining long-term relationships with builders, trades, and key customers.
* Conducting site visits, identifying opportunities, and presenting tailored product solutions.
* Managing customer profiles, maintaining accurate CRM records, and providing exceptional service.
* Negotiating contracts and assisting with the establishment of trading accounts.
* Proactively seeking new business opportunities and implementing customer acquisition activities.
* Collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver seamless solutions for clients.
* Supporting marketing initiatives such as promotions, events, and brand awareness.
* Monitoring industry trends, customer requirements, and market opportunities.
* Leading with safety and upholding Dahlsens' Circle of Care principles in every interaction.
Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* 5+ years' experience in a sales/account management role, ideally within building, construction, or trade-related industries.
* Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
* Strong relationship-building and influencing skills across all levels.
* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
* Strong business acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and negotiate effectively.
* Well-developed organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
