Lifeline has been operating in Tasmania since 1973, commencing as two chapters (Lifeline North West and Lifeline Hobart) which merged in 2012 to form Lifeline Tasmania, we are now a single organisation incorporated in Tasmania, with state-wide reach and community connections.

The Opportunity
Lifeline Tasmania\'s Chats program offers a variety of services to Tasmanians, from group and individual social support through to allied health - social work and counselling services.
There is something for everyone in the Chats program and we are now on the hunt for our next Activity Officer!
This part-time opportunity will be responsible for supporting the effective operations of the Chats program and its recipients, working with individuals to maximise their independence by focussing on participants strengths as well as their wellness and reablement goals.
Collaborating with participants and their representatives around support needs and service requirements, the Activity Officerwill support individuals or groups with planned activities, either in the home or within the community.
Our new Activity Officerwill participate in the development of a regional monthly calendar of activities, maintain program databases and support staff in the effective use of the databases.

About You
Your fabulous interpersonal skills effectively build networks internal and external to the organisation, and your empathetic approach allows you to provide effective support and assistance to individuals, whilst embracing and respecting people\'s diversity.
Competent in the use of IT systems, you are a collaborative team player with highly developed organisational skills including the capacity to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines with ease.
Holding relevant qualifications in home and community aged care, demonstrated experience working in the aged care sector, a current unrestricted manual Tasmanian driver's licence and you are willing, keen and able to transport our truly amazing participants in a sedan and/or small bus.
