The Role
This role is a rare opportunity for a driven and socially conscious Financial Accountant to join a NFP organisation and have a lasting impact. This position is part-time (3 days per week) and a 12 month contract.
The Financial Accountant role exists to ensure that the compliance returns and annual financial statements are completed in accordance with the relevant taxation regulations and accounting standards.
More specifically, your key duties will include:
* Maintain AASB 15 revenue recognition tool.
* Timely and accurate advice provided to the business in relation to revenue recognition.
* Lead the team to ensure timely and accurately booking of all income
* Mentor of other staff members with a focus on knowledge sharing and collaboration
* Assisting with the preparation and delivery of monthly reporting and accounts close
* Responsibility for ensuring accurate preparation of year end accounts and managing the process with the external auditors
* Prepare and review external reporting
* Prepare technical accounting memo and provide technical accounting advice internally and externally
* Business partnering and financial analysis
* Mentor of other staff members with a focus on knowledge sharing and collaboration
