About the role
Join our Carlow House team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. This permanent part-time role (58.5 hours per fortnight) offers the opportunity to work across both day and night shifts, providing consistent, supportive care to young people as they build resilience, confidence, and essential life skills to navigate everyday challenges.
You'll deliver tailored one-on-one support, develop and review assessments and case plans, and work collaboratively with young people to identify their strengths and achieve their personal goals. Guided by trauma-informed, person-centred, and strengths-based practice, you will provide early intervention and prevention support that empowers young people to create positive, lasting change in their lives while contributing to a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.
About you
You'll have a strong passion to support youth who are considered at risk or are presenting with complex issues to reach their full potential and build their confidence and resilience. Along with this you'll have experience working with clients in a residential setting and with those of diverse cultures and communities.
In addition, you will also possess:
* Certificate III in Youth Work is desirable
* Able to work a range of shifts, including overnight
* Experience providing support to clients in developing essential life skills
* Driver's Licence
* Working with Children Check (WWCC)
* First Aid Certificate
* National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
