About the Role
The School Buy In Senior Speech Pathologist plays a crucial role within the Student Support Services School Buy-in Team, working in partnership with preschool and school leadership to develop tailored and accountable school-based allied health projects.
As a member of this team, they contribute contemporary speech pathology expertise and specialist advice to school improvement initiatives. This leadership position provides project support, line management and professional supervision to allied health buy-in providers, and involves overseeing projects to ensure they align with intended outcomes.
The role utilises evaluation and data analysis processes to maintain professional and service standards and inform state-wide service improvement.
Qualifications
- Essential: An appropriate degree or equivalent that gives eligibility for full membership to Speech Pathology Australia.
- Desirable: Current practising member of Speech Pathology Australia with Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status.
Special Conditions
The successful applicant must gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to employment, and renew it every five years. They must also complete the RRHAN-EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online Fundamentals course, updating it every three years.

Remuneration
AHP3 $108,347 - $116,216 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) + leave loading and applicable allowances.
