Exciting Opportunity: Youth Worker at PCYC NSW
PCYC NSW is dedicated to creating safer communities for young people. We are looking for a Youth Worker to join our team in Lake Macquarie. The role is part-time, 30 hours per week, 8am-4pm, with a competitive salary of $***** per hour.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate group sessions focused on employability and life skills
Provide one-on-one mentoring and support to program participants
Collaborate with employers and community organizations to generate employment opportunities
Assist in recruitment efforts and program promotion
Monitor participant progress and provide ongoing support throughout the program duration
Maintain case notes, records and administrative information in accordance with program standards
Attend weekly program meetings to contribute toward evaluation and improvement processes
Ensure compliance with funder metrics, performance measurements and budgetary provisions
Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes and enhance program impact
Report program performance and support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum Certificate IV in Youth Work or relevant qualification
Experience in program facilitation with young people
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to engage and motivate youth
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Team-oriented approach with proven collaboration
Passion for making a positive impact in the lives of young individuals
