The Role
We’re on the hunt for a Content Producer to join our dynamic Communications team at Canstar. This part-time (3 days a week) role is for an initial 12-month period, with strong potential for extension.
Based in our Brisbane office with a hybrid work setup, you’ll collaborate with a team of journalists, SEO pros, marketers, and finance experts to create content that reaches millions of Aussies every year.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Researching and writing finance-related content that educates and engages our readers.
2. Covering everything from explainer articles to breaking news and product comparisons.
3. Pitching and sourcing your own stories—because great content starts with fresh ideas!
4. Chatting with finance experts to make your content insightful and credible.
5. Ensuring content is SEO-friendly and aligns with Canstar’s tone of voice.
6. Keeping an eye on performance metrics to fine-tune and optimise your work.
What You Bring to the Table:
1. 1-2 years’ experience in journalism, content production, or editorial roles.
2. A passion for finance, business, or consumer topics (bonus points if you geek out over interest rates!).
3. Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress is a plus but not a deal-breaker).
4. Confidence working with data, numbers, and financial concepts.
5. A keen eye for SEO and digital best practices.
6. Ability to meet deadlines without breaking a sweat.
