We are looking for someone who lives and breathes social media content and more - who can pick up a camera, frame a shot, shoot it well, edit it fast, and make it perform on platform. THE ROLE
This is a hands-on, high-output social media content and general marketing output for NorCen in line with Bendigo bank guidelines. You will be responsible for producing the full spectrum of social and corporate content - stills, video, reels, stories, printed material, website management.
You will work closely in office with our Senior Manager, Lending Manager and Community Engagement Advisor on marketing strategies, execution and stakeholder engagement (local community groups, clubs)
WHAT YOU WILL BE CREATING
This role is built around producing content across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. You need to be genuinely proficient with all the following.
* Reels and short-form video: Vertical, fast-paced, hook-first. Shot and edited natively for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. You understand pacing, music, captions, and the two-second rule without being told.
* Stories: Sequential, platform-aware, designed to drive taps, swipes, and link clicks. You know how to build a story arc across multiple frames
* Stills and photography: On-brand, platform-ready photography for social posts, product and service showcasing, team content, and community shoots. You understand composition, light, and what makes a still perform versus what makes it scroll past.
* Meta Paid Ads: Using Meta suit to help drive paid ads within new growth corridor, attracting new customers and community groups to the company
* Website Management: Maintenance and continued improvement of the group website (managed via WIX) to help drive engagement and connection directly via NorCen.
* Printed Material: Working with internal marketing software and Canva to create printed material for branches and activations
* Brand Campaigns: Help execute brand campaigns inline with brand guidelines both digitally and printed material
* Mailing List/Newsletters: Manage our mailing list, create and distribute regular newsletter to Shareholders, stakeholders, customers and the community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Shoot & Produce
* Film and photograph social media material – across our 3 sites and any community events.
* Produce reels, stories, videos, and long-form content to brief.
* Be comfortable on camera yourself - presenting, demonstrating, talking to camera, and guiding on-camera talent when required.
* Capture content that is platform-ready from the moment of shooting - correct framing, aspect ratio, pacing, and format for the destination platform.
Edit & Post-Produce
* Edit and deliver content in video editing suites and apps, CapCut etc
* Apply text overlays, motion captions, branded graphics, music, and colour grading to a professional standard.
* Produce content that is on brand, on brief, and optimised for each platform's technical specifications.
* Adapt core content assets across multiple formats and sizes for cross-platform use.
Social Formats & Platform Craft
* Demonstrate genuine platform literacy across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
* Understand what makes each format perform - hooks, pacing, caption structure, CTA placement, and trending formats.
* Stay current on platform algorithm changes, native format updates, and emerging content trends.
* Contribute fresh ideas to the content calendar based on what is performing across the industry.
Brand & Consistency
* Apply brand guidelines consistently across every piece of content produced.
* Review all content against brand standards before submission or publication.
Collaboration & Delivery
* Work directly with leadership team from brief to delivery - taking clear direction while contributing creative ideas.
* Manage your own shoot schedule, editing queue, and asset library with precision.
* Deliver to deadlines without being chased.
* Communicate proactively with clients and internal stakeholders on shoot logistics and timeline requirements.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
* Social Content Craft: Proven, hands-on experience creating reels, stories, stills for social media. Not coordinating or scheduling - actually shooting and editing them yourself.
* Video Production: End-to-end video capability from pre-production through to final delivery. Corporate, social, and long form. You can operate a camera properly, set up basic lighting and audio, and deliver footage that does not need to be rescued in post.
* Platform Literacy: Deep working knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Meta Suite (paid ads). You understand what performs on each platform and can articulate why with specific examples.
* Editing Proficiency: Proficient in CapCut and/or Video Up for social content. Other platforms such as WIX, Mail Chimp and Monday.com. You move between tools efficiently without loss of quality.
* On-Camera Confidence: Comfortable in front of a camera as well as behind one. You can present, demonstrate, or guide talent without hesitation.
* Copywriting for Social: You can write a caption, a story script, and an overlay headline.
* Brand Discipline: You read briefs properly, apply guidelines consistently, and understand that great content that is off brand is still a problem. Work alongside guidelines and policies.
* Paid Media Awareness: Familiarity with Meta Suite creative specs, programmatic display formats.
MUST-HAVES
* Published portfolio of social content you personally shot and edited - reels, stories, carousels, and stills
* CapCut, Final Cut Pro
* On-camera confidence: presenting and talking to camera
* Ability to work to a content calendar and hard deadlines
* Strong understanding of social formats, hooks, CTAs, and platform-native content
* Meta Paid ads (highly regarded)
* Work within marketing strategies or created marketing strategies

* You are in Northern Melbourne and able to commit to attending our Wallan, Kilmore or Broadford locations, plus on-location shoots as required. The role is a hybrid with onsite and work from home options
* You work comfortably alongside a strategy-focused team, taking direction on brief while contributing genuinely to creative execution.
