About the role:
Loddon Shire Council is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Technical Analyst to provide day-to-day level 1-2 IT support to staff across the organisation during a maternity leave period.
This is a full-time maximum term role to 30 June 2026. The role is based at the Wedderburn Council office and will be responsible for delivering frontline service in the first stage of the new multi-year IT strategy.
You will work directly with Council staff, providing responsive Level 1–2 support, troubleshooting issues across hardware, software, user access, and devices. You will also assist with onboarding/offboarding, workstation deployment, Microsoft 365 support, and general operational improvements - as a valued member of the broader IT team.
In this role, you will:
* respond to IT service requests, triage and troubleshoot technical issues, and provide general Level 1–2 support to staff
* assist with account setup, device rollouts, and end-user education
* support Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint) and other IT systems
* assist with minor on-premise infrastructure tasks, such as restarting servers, verifying backups
* log and track issues, maintain documentation, and escalate to the Systems Administrator, vendors or other stakeholders as required
* contribute to a team culture that prioritises helpfulness, communication, and continuous service improvement
About you:
You enjoy helping people, solving problems, and making things work - and you take pride in providing support that's clear, reliable, and friendly.
You might be early in your IT career or already experienced in Level 1–2 support and looking for a role where you can be hands-on, trusted, and part of a small, supportive team. You're comfortable working with Microsoft 365 and Windows environments, and you're the kind of person who brings patience, clarity, and a steady approach to each interaction.
You're someone who:
* Has experience in an IT service desk or end-user support environment
* Communicates clearly and professionally with people of all technical backgrounds
* Understands how to troubleshoot desktop, access, and application issues methodically
* Can manage your time, follow technical processes, and know when to ask for help
* Enjoys being part of a team that values honesty, mutual support, and taking pride in providing high quality service
If you're looking for a well-rounded support role where you can make a real contribution every day - and build experience in a modernising IT environment - we'd love to hear from you.
