Regional HR Manager | Industrial, Operational, Transformational

This isn’t your beige HR Manager role… this is a role for operational HR heavyweights who love being on-site, thrive in complex ER environments, and will embrace a challenging change agenda that will deliver real benefit, for the organisation and the individual.

We are partnering with a global leader in food processing. They are big, growing, and they continue to push a modern transformation agenda.

We are looking for a Regional HR Manager to partner alongside site leadership, to raise the bar on the HR foundation, and help steward an improvement program that will produce tangible results across HR and operations.


About the Opportunity

This is not an opportunity that comes along every day. You will be joining an HR Leadership team that is genuinely strategic, highly focused, and committed to continuous improvement.

The Regional HR Manager will be based on-site (Adelaide Hills), in an exciting role where no two days are the same. We need someone who has the fundamentals nailed, to manage the complex and rewarding reality of a large-scale processing workforce, and who sees the bigger picture and can drive a change agenda to completion.

This means you will be able to:

* Deliver a people service: Be the expert coach and partner to operational leadership on people issues, manage ER/IR, day-to-day people operations, and coach a small team of HR practitioners; and
* Drive the change: Move from reactive firefighting to proactive people management, embedding new systems, standardising processes and driving improvement to lift capability across the operation.


What You’ll Be Doing

We’re seeking someone to fill a leadership role, with the capacity to work across operational and strategic priorities, which will include:

* Operational and strategic coaching and advice to leadership teams (including upskilling them to lead their own people effectively).
* Leading, coaching and developing your direct reports, including to new ways of working.
* Supporting a diverse workforce mix, including PALM scheme workers, requiring specific compliance and cultural awareness.
* Implementation and monitoring of HR programs including engagement, culture, DEI, performance, talent and workforce planning activities.
* Design and deployment of people programs in support of operational goals.
* Employee relations, including investigations (safety, discipline, conduct etc), and programs to improve engagement and reduce ER risk.
* Continuous improvement of people processes, to reduce compliance and employee data issues, and improve productivity and performance.


What We’re Looking For

We aren't looking for a corporate generalist. We need an operational expert who knows how to influence leadership and drive performance on the floor.

An exciting program of change and improvement means there is real room for career advancement for someone who is resilient, motivated, and wants to see results.

The key capabilities and experiences we think the right person will possess include:

* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, and/or demonstrated expertise in operational HR – from hire to retire.
* Strong knowledge of HR policies, processes, legislation and compliance, and how these interact across the HR function.
* 5+ years of HR leadership experience within complex blue‑collar environments (mining, manufacturing, logistics or processing).
* Strong ER/IR foundation, with expertise across investigations, disciplinary and conduct management.
* HR project management and change management experience – and the mindset to match. Someone who will take ownership of a program and knows how to drive for results.
* Advanced communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence and coach in all directions.
