Overview of Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for qualified printers to join our team at Acacia Ridge, QLD. You will be directly responsible for the running of a flexographic printing press. You will be part of a team who are on a journey to out-perform and meet our customers' needs through manufacturing excellence and innovation.
3 x positions Available
Shift: 1 x Day - 6:00am - 14:00pm: Monday to Friday
Shift: 1 x Afternoon - 14:00pm - 22:00pm: Monday to Friday
Shift: 1 x Night Shift - 22:00pm - 6:00am: Sunday to Thursday + 30% loading
Responsibilities
* Operating print presses safely and efficiently – maximizing speed and quality whilst minimising downtime, whilst maintaining the highest level of quality assurance.
* Meet or exceed production standards for output and setup allowance.
* Communicating issues as they arise within and between shifts.
* Print troubleshooting and other print related tasks.
* Printing trade assistant duties when required.
* Ink technician tasks when required.
* Mounting printing plates on the new FAMM when required.
Qualifications
* Trade Qualification in printing (Certificate 111 in Printing and Graphic Arts or equivalent).
* Proficient in color matching techniques, densitometer operations, and print quality measurement systems.
* Ability to safely operate the printing press and other plant and equipment.
* The ability to work as part of a team.
* A strong quality background and ability to perform quality checks.
* Ideally a minimum of 3 (preferably 5+) years hands‑on printing experience in a manufacturing environment, with high‑speed machines.
* Proven problem‑solving ability and a good level of mechanical competence.
* Sound experience with interpreting, then delivering on production plans.
* Knowledge of Quality, Safety and Environmental standards as well as Good Manufacturing Practice.
Hourly rate will depend on skills and experience for the right individual.
These roles are full-time, permanent positions based in our Acacia Ridge Site.
