Construction Supervisor Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in roofing, with previous experience in a similar leadership role.
The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of current building codes, including Australian Standards, SA HB 39, and QBCC requirements, as well as exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensuring site safety and conducting WHS checklists prior to site opening
* Supervising the installation of metal roofs allocated to subcontractors and crews across SEQ, Northern NSW, and storm-affected areas across QLD
* Ability to work independently while maintaining high work quality, motivation, integrity, and attention to detail
* Practicing leadership and respect when interacting with crews and clients
* Conducting insurance-grade roof inspections and reports – travel where required
* Making safety checks in all work locations - travel where required
* Rectifications and small maintenance work in all work locations - travel where required
* Measuring inspections and takeoffs as required
* Preparing site plans and folders for crews as required
* Daily crew management, check-ins, and progress reports - in all work locations, traveling where required
* Assisting management with scope adjustments where required - as per HB39 Roof Plumbing Standards
* Meeting with suppliers, clients, and potential leads - in all work locations - travel where required
* Enforcing safety expectations amongst roofing crews in all work locations including - HB39 Roof Plumbing Standards - travel where required
* Training team members when doing quality audits and inspections - as per HB39 Roof Plumbing Standards - in all work locations - travel where required
* Supporting team members on their level
* Client dispute resolution in all work locations - as per HB39 Roof Plumbing Standards - travel where required
* Ensuring strict deadlines and KPIs are met in all work locations - travel where required
* Weekly meetings to discuss job outcomes and performance
* Weekly meeting to discuss team members outcomes and performance
* Engaging in performance managing team members and crews
* Assisting with company development and building better processes and systems that will benefit your position and all team members
* Assisting with building team culture
* Encouraging team members to engage in team-building activities
* Advocating and building strong relationships with crew members

Availability
Day shifts from Monday through to Friday, with weekend availability
