About the Position

As a Teacher at St Hilda’s School, you will create an engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes academic achievement, critical thinking, and personal growth among students. This role involves developing and delivering curriculum-aligned instruction in accordance with QCAA and Australian Standards, using data informed practices to assess student progress, providing differentiated learning experiences that meet students at their current academic level, and fostering positive relationships that encourage student success both academically, socially and personally for each student.

About You

1. Teaching Excellence

* Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging, differentiated instruction that meets diverse learning needs
* Strong knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and evidence-based teaching practices
* Proven track record of achieving excellent academic outcomes
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience developing innovative unit and lesson plans aligned with the Australian Curriculum.

Understanding of Girls' Education

* Deep understanding of how girls learn and develop across different age groups
* Ability to foster confidence, resilience, and leadership in female students
* Knowledge of research-based approaches to girls' education and empowerment
* Commitment to broadening girls' aspirations.

Professional Skills

* Excellent classroom management and organisational abilities
* Strong communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues
* Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning platforms
* High level of ability to assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Personal Attributes

* Genuine passion for educating and mentoring young women
* High professional and ethical standards
* Collaborative team player who contributes to school community

* A one to two page A4 written response (size 12 font) outlining your suitability for the role, and specifically including your teaching experience in Business and English (length of time and year levels)
* A full Curriculum Vitae, including contact details for two professional referees
