Role Overview
We're seeking a Senior Network Automation Engineer to lead the design and execution of enterprise application migrations to new data centres. This role involves translating ASA/CSM policies to ACI/APIC, designing F5 GTM/LTM traffic distribution, and automating deployments using Python and Terraform with robust change and rollback processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Design canonical models and ASA→ACI/APIC translation rules for migration.
* Validate and sign off candidate rules; lead passive and canary deployments.
* Produce runbooks, rollback plans, and change artefacts for automated pushes.
* Configure and manage F5 GTM/LTM for HA, DR, traffic steering, and SSL offload.
* Develop Python and Terraform automation for deployments and configuration management.
* Monitor post-deployment telemetry and authorise reverts when SLA thresholds are breached.
* Mentor engineers on APIC payloads and CSM job design.
Skills & Experience
* Strong hands‑on experience with Cisco ASA, Cisco ACI/APIC (REST/API), and CSM.
* Proven track record in enterprise firewall policy rollouts from design to audit.
* Expertise in F5 BIG‑IP GTM & LTM including iRules and monitors.
* Proficiency in Python and Terraform for network automation workflows.
* Solid troubleshooting and capacity planning across data centre and network domains.
* CCNP/CCIE certification or equivalent (highly regarded).
* Familiarity with DNS traffic steering, SSL offloading, and CI/CD pipelines for network automation.
