**Highlighting the importance of this role**
Our Toowoomba Nubeena Retirement Village has 70 two-bedroom homes, located in the Darling Downs region, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and lush gardens at 885 Ruthven Street South, Toowoomba.
We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Officer to join our team on a Full-time basis.
You will be responsible for providing general maintenance services including preventative and corrective duties while utilising our asset management system to complete all relevant record keeping and administration tasks.
Your days will be varied and you will also:
- Undertake general maintenance work including, but not limited to, repairs, installation and cleaning;
- Undertake grounds maintenance including, but not limited to, mowing, fertilising, pruning and garden refuse removal.
**What you can bring to the team**
You are an experienced, highly organised Maintenance Officer with a proven capability to self-manage, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Your excellent communication skills and compassionate nature will allow you to build relationships with our much-loved residents as you resolve gardening and maintenance issues as they arise.
As the Maintenance Officer, ideally your experience and qualifications include:
- Previous experience in residential aged care, retirement living or community services environment is highly regarded;
- Demonstrated experience in a maintenance or landscaping role;
- Knowledge of work health and safety requirements, or the ability to acquire within one month of employment;
- A current driver's licence;
- Possess a current National Police Check, or the willingness to acquire one.
