About the Organisation
The Multicultural Council of the Northern Territory (MCNT) is the peak body organisation that advocates for and provides direct services to individuals, families and communities from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds in the Northern Territory.
About the Role
The primary objective is to be the first point of contact at the office and administer the physical and financial resources of the organisation.
SELECTION CRITERIA
1. A tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Bookkeeping, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience. Experience with MYOB preferred.
2. Experience in working with people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities.
3. Demonstrated ability to manage, facilitate, promote and evaluate programs and events including meetings training and community programs.
4. Ability to perform ad hoc duties (may include some physical tasks) and support other staff as required.
5. Demonstrate ability to manage time and conflicting workplace responsibilities.
6. Demonstrated experience and ability to use computer software applications, particularly MS-Word, MS-Excel and other related programs (Comfortable using on-line forms and interactive websites).
7. Ability to work autonomously and as an effective member of a team.
8. Hold a Police Clearance and working with children (Ochre Card).
9. Flexibility and availability to work after hours and weekends when required. A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle are also necessary.
