RSM's Risk Advisory Services (RAS) division provides a comprehensive suite of internal audit, risk management, and assurance services designed to help clients identify, assess, and manage risk while enhancing governance and operational performance.
The division supports both public and private sector clients across Australia, with a strong presence in Canberra and other capital cities. RAS Division has a diverse portfolio of RSM clients, including government agencies, not-for-profit organisations, and private sector entities across industries such as health, education, infrastructure, technology, and financial services.
About the role:
As a Graduate Internal Auditor, you will support the delivery of internal audit services across a range of clients and industries. This entry-level role is designed to provide structured learning and development, enabling you to build foundational skills in risk management, internal controls, and audit methodology while working under the guidance of experienced professionals within RSM's Risk Advisory Services (RAS) division.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the execution of internal audits under the guidance of senior auditors.
* Develop a foundational understanding of internal audit methodologies and internal control systems.
* Understand and perform audit testing in accordance with internal audit methodologies.
* Gain working knowledge of electronic audit tools and systems, such as Auditor Assist.
* Maintain accurate personal documentation, including training records, time sheets, and expenses.
* Complete allocated tasks in a timely and professional manner.
* Progressively develop the ability to document internal control systems accurately.
Education Requirements
Essential:
* A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, or a related field with a major in Accounting. Tertiary qualifications in a STEM discipline is also acceptable.
* Commitment to commence further studies toward a relevant professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA) or postgraduate qualification within 12 months of starting the role.

Location and work arrangements
The position will be based in our offices in the Equinox Business Precinct in Deakin ACT. The role is a full-time position and hybrid work arrangements can be discussed and agreed with line managers upon commencement.
