What You'll Be Do
* Lead the Corporate Governance Team and mentor staff
* Advise on governance, compliance, and legislative matters
* Oversee Corporate Governance activities including local government elections, and internal management practice and policy reviews
* Drive local government reform initiatives
* Develop high-quality reports and documents to Council
* Build relationships with key stakeholders
* Lead special projects and strategic research
Qualifications What You'll Bring
* Significant experience within WA Local Government
* Tertiary qualification in Management, Law, or Public Sector and/or significant experience in interpreting and applying legislation relevant to WA local governments
* Proven team leadership and development skills
* Advanced written and verbal communication skills
* Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building
* Experience managing sensitive and confidential issues
* Ability to lead complex projects and drive reform
