Bairnsdale Regional Health Service is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join our dynamic Emergency Department. Contracts Available: Ongoing Part Time 72 hours per fortnight or Fixed Term Part Time 56 hours per fortnight. Please specify your preferred contract hours in your application. The Role: Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide senior clinical leadership across the Emergency Department, supporting safe and effective patient flow and high‑quality, person‑centred care. You will coordinate shifts, support and mentor staff, manage resources, and deputise for the Nurse Unit Manager as required, while contributing to continuous improvement and service excellence. What We're Looking For: * Minimum 5 years' recent experience in Emergency Nursing or Critical Care. * Postgraduate qualifications in Emergency or Critical Care Nursing (essential). * Demonstrated clinical leadership, strong communication skills, and a commitment to person‑centred care. * Advanced competence in high‑acuity emergency nursing, including intensive care patient management and advanced health assessment skills. * Proven ability to prioritise and respond effectively in high‑pressure situations.
