What you'll be doing
* YOU MUST BE AN AUSTRALIAN PERMANENT RESIDENT OR CITIZEN TO APPLY
* Providing personalised support and assistance to families, individuals and children with disabilities or complex needs
* Helping clients access community services and resources to promote independence and improve quality of life
* Coordinating and facilitating group activities and programs to encourage social inclusion
* Maintaining detailed client records and reporting on progress to ensure high-quality care
* Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to develop and implement tailored support plans
* Advocating for clients' rights and addressing any concerns or issues that arise
* Assist the work of Social Workers and welfare workers by providing services and support to families
What we're looking for
* Relevant qualifications in community services, social work, or a related field
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar family support or disability support role
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a solution-focused approach
* Passion for making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable individuals and families
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across multiple stakeholders
* Willingness to undergo a National Police Check and Working with Children Check
