The Role
Reporting to the Senior HR Advisor, you will deliver high-quality recruitment and HR advisory support across a diverse portfolio of white-collar, technical, and blue-collar roles within the Genus Services business. Recruitment will form a core component of your portfolio, alongside providing day-to-day HR guidance to leaders and employees on people processes, policy interpretation, and employee lifecycle matters.
You will work closely with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, manage recruitment priorities, support onboarding, and contribute to a positive employee experience from attraction through to employment.
Key Responsibilities
Talent & Recruitment Focus
* Deliver end-to-end recruitment across technical, operational, and corporate roles
* Partner with leaders on workforce planning, hiring priorities, and role scoping
* Manage advertising, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer processes
* Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, Seek Talent Search, and other platforms
* Build talent pipelines for recurring and critical roles
* Ensure a professional and engaging candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
* Maintain accurate recruitment records and reporting within the ATS
HR Advisory Support
* Provide practical HR advice and support to leaders and employees on HR policies and procedures
* Support onboarding and employee lifecycle processes
* Assist with performance and conduct matters in partnership with senior HR support
* Contribute to continuous improvement of HR and recruitment processes
* Support HR projects and workforce initiatives as required
About You
You are a confident and adaptable HR professional with strong recruitment capability and a genuine interest in supporting operational leaders. You build trust quickly, communicate clearly, and enjoy balancing talent delivery with broader HR advisory work. You thrive in hands-on environments, manage competing priorities well, and take pride in delivering high-quality outcomes for both stakeholders and candidates.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Experience in recruitment and HR advisory/generalist support
* Proven success recruiting technical, trade, or operational roles — ideally within construction, utilities, infrastructure, or engineering environments
* Strong sourcing, screening, and interview capability
* Sound working knowledge of HR practices and employee lifecycle processes
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work autonomously
* Experience using ATS platforms and HR systems (JobAdder experience highly regarded)
* Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency
* A current and valid Australian driver's licence
