Seeking an experienced Handy Person to support a Government department in Armadale, starting ASAP
**Your new company**
A Government department based in Armadale, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer / Handy Person to carry out general maintenance care to onsite facilities. You will be engaged on an initial ongoing temporary basis, paid at a competitive hourly rate and working full-time hours from Monday to Friday. This organisation requires someone to start as soon as possible.
**Your new role**
As the Maintenance Officer you will be required to carry out all-round maintenance across the department building and facilities. You will be responsible for an array of tasks including:
- Basic carpentry and plumbing
- Replacing lamps
- Painting and patching
- Moving of furniture
- General client liaison
- Adhoc requests as required by the Facilities team
**What you'll need to succeed**
In order to be considered for this role you will have previous experience in a similar role with similar responsibilities. In addition, you will display:
- Good initiative and the ability to work autonomously
- Proactive attitude
- A background in carpentry or engineering would be advantageous
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication and general customer service skills
