Job Description
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Michael Page Australia, you will collaborate closely with our Engineering Director and Project Managers to deliver precise designs and plans for mechanical engineering work.
The ideal candidate will ensure that all designs adhere to specifications, standards, regulations, and contractual provisions.
You will also be responsible for estimating manufacturing costs, diagnosing and analyzing manufactured items, conducting engineering calculations, and generating comprehensive reports.
Additionally, you will lead the preparation and issuance of engineering release and change documentation, develop test documentation, and participate in testing.
Maintaining organized design and report records is crucial in this role, in accordance with company procedures and policies.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of engineering, with 4+ years of strong CAD experience.
Proficiency in Autocad, Solidworks, and essential tools for design processes is a must.
Expertise or proficiency in Cosmos FEA, showcasing advanced engineering analysis skills, is also essential.
Knowledge of mechanical design, including sizes, fits, tolerances, material selections, treatment processes, mechanical systems, and basic electrical control systems, as well as comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, is required.
