Resource Industries – The Resource Industries branch oversees the regulation of the State’s raw material processing and mining operations, including mineral sands extraction and associated activities such as wastewater treatment, power generation, and waste management. As a member of the team you have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders across industry, government and the community.
Waste Industries – The Waste Industries Branch regulates landfills, liquid waste facilities, wastewater treatment plants, and waste storage and transfer stations across the State. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to advancing circular economy policies and programs, collaborating with the Waste Assurance Branch, and engaging with a wide range of external stakeholders.
Environmental Officer – Licensing – Specified Calling Level 1
As an Environmental Officer Licensing (SCL1), you’ll be part of a team that protects Western Australia’s environment through the assessment of applications for works approvals and licences under the Environmental Protection Act 1986. This entry-level role offers a foundation to develop environmental assessment and regulatory expertise within a collaborative team.
Environmental Officer – Licensing – Specified Calling Level 2
The Environmental Officer Licensing (SCL2) role is designed for professionals to assess works approval and licence applications, contribute to strategic policy development, and provide high-level advice relating to Part V of the Environmental Protection Act 1986. The role requires the ability to manage shifting priorities within a dynamic regulatory environment and to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
