Our organisation provides mental health services in a community-based setting. We are seeking a skilled Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team.
The role involves providing high-quality care to patients, including assessing their mental state and developing treatment plans. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care and support participants with their medication management.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about working in mental health and has a strong understanding of recovery-oriented frameworks. The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications and experience in mental health nursing, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
To ensure success in this role, you will need to demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, as well as perform detailed mental state examinations and liaise with clinical and community-based teams.
Key Aspects of the Role
* Lead the day-to-day clinical care for all participants, undertaking detailed mental state examinations.
* Work collaboratively with the on-site clinical team and partner with external stakeholders to deliver safe and supportive care.
* Engage with care planning across a 10-14 day stay.
* Support participants with their medication management.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, family, and carers as indicated.
Requirements
* Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent qualification.
* Demonstrated competencies and skills for the role.
* Minimum of 2 years full-time equivalent mental health experience in mental health nursing.
* Desirable experience in Alcohol and Other Drugs.
