About the Role
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Field Supervisor is responsible for leading and supporting a team of Service Technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery across customer sites.
This is a hands-on leadership role, combining technical expertise with team coordination, customer liaison, and operational oversight. You will play a key role in field modernisations, complex repairs, and ongoing service delivery, while promoting a strong safety culture and developing the technical capability of the team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supervising and supporting Service Technicians and subcontractors in the field
* Leading field projects including modernisations, refurbishments, and complex repairs
* Prioritising tasks and allocating resources to meet service deadlines
* Supporting planners with job scheduling and task prioritisation
* Authorising changes impacting scope, budget, or timelines
* Coordinating internal teams, contractors, and third-party vendors
* Conducting audits and spot checks to ensure quality of work
* Promoting safety leadership and encouraging reporting of hazards and incidents
* Approving timesheets and monitoring technician performance
* Acting as a technical point of contact for Australian Standards
* Supporting pricing and quoting for large or complex jobs
* Providing regular feedback, coaching, and support to technicians
* Assisting with onboarding and training new team members
* Ensuring service requests are delivered on time, within scope and budget
About You
You're a strong technical professional who enjoys leading from the front and supporting others to succeed.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* An Electrical Licence or Mechanical Trade Certificate (essential)
* Proven experience supervising technicians or small teams in the field
* A minimum of 5+ years of field supervisory experience is required
* Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment and service environments
* Solid understanding of Australian Standards
* A strong safety mindset and leadership approach
* Excellent communication and customer engagement skills
* Ability to manage priorities, troubleshoot issues, and make sound decisions
* Experience coordinating jobs, parts, access equipment, and resources
* Competency using systems such as Outlook, Excel, and Word
* A current and valid driver's licence
* Working at Heights Certificate
* Willingness to travel as required
