Job type: Ongoing – Full Time (35 HPW)
Salary: Clerk Grade 3/4 base salary ($84,659 - $92,701), plus employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
Role Overview
This role supports the Legal Branch within the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) by delivering comprehensive legal, clerical, and administrative support to solicitors and legal staff. The role ensures efficient coordination of casework, accurate document preparation, and timely assistance across a range of legal matters.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional legal, clerical, and administrative support while delivering high‐quality, client‐focused service.
- Conduct legal research and enquiries to support solicitors, ensuring accurate and timely information gathering.
- Manage communications by screening calls and responding to enquiries in a clear, professional, and responsive manner.
- Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence and briefing materials in line with departmental standards and guidelines.
- Support operational efficiency through diary management, coordination of meetings and travel, and assistance with financial and administrative processes.
