THE POSITION
Mobilisation Phase:
* Assist with workforce transition, recruitment, and onboarding.
* Support the development and delivery of training programs.
* Help create position descriptions and communication strategies for transitioning employees.
* Collaborate with People Support to implement record management systems.
* Ensure compliance with safety processes and culture.
* Manage logistics for interviews, training, and onboarding.
Operational Phase:
* Handle investigations, complaints, and ensure policy adherence.
* Coach and mentor managers on performance management and HR processes.
* Act as the first point of contact for Union inquiries.
* Oversee performance reviews, training administration, and audit compliance.
* Support recruitment for talent attraction strategies and maintain staff pipelines.
* Provide HR support, resolve employee queries, and lead safety initiatives.
* Manage workers' comp claims and HR-related systems (PageUp, Deputy, CHESS).
THE PERSON
* Minimum of 5 years' generalist HR experience, ideally in blue-collar or healthcare environments.
* Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
* Proven experience coaching and mentoring managers.
* Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related field are highly desirable.
* Willingness to obtain a National Police Check Clearance and provide proof of immunity for vaccine preventable diseases.
Experience within a healthcare environment is highly desirable.
