Our client is a leading industry superannuation fund based in Melbourne. They have a rare opportunity for an Investment Operations Specialist to join the team for a 6-month contract, where you will be leading the Investment Operations function and managing one team member.
Your role will be crucial in ensuring accuracy in unit pricing, managing custodian relationships, and executing investment instructions on a day-to-day basis. You'll also oversee regulatory reporting, investment manager due diligence, and contribute to strategic improvements.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Management:
Oversee the small Investment Operations team to ensure efficient daily operations
Daily Investment Operations:
Execute investment instructions, including trades, account set-ups and closures and fee payments, in addition to the management of the daily portfolio rebalancing process
Custodian and Administrator Oversight:
Oversight of daily cash flow and unit pricing between fund administrators and the custodian
Due Diligence and Fee Management:
Conduct initial and ongoing reviews of externally managed investment managers' operations
Compliance Monitoring:
Ensure all activities meet investment mandates and regulatory requirements
Regulatory Reporting:
Compile and deliver RG97 and other required reports to stakeholders
Skills & Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
7-10 years in investment operations, ideally with at least 5 years fromSuperannuation
Experience with third-party management (administrator and custodian, in addition to experience with regulatory reporting (RG97)
Capability in building effective stakeholder relationships and owning processes
