The Company
A national provider and operator of service accommodation stay apartments with an ambitious growth plan to expand its property portfolio.
The Role
Working independently and reporting back to the operating business, your role will be to deliver 5 new short to medium-term stay apartment projects in locations along the eastern seaboard of Australia.
You will assist in finding new potential project locations, based on market research on geographic suitability. Projects will be secured through JV's with development partners, or freehold acquisition. Ensuring that site risks such as geotechnical, environmental and planning are identified pre-acquisition is critical.
Once a project is secured your role, your role will be to coordinate and work directly with development, design, and construction stakeholders to manage projects from the concept phase through to the construction delivery and operational handover.
**Requirements**:
Key responsibilities will include:
- Identify and determine new and existing sites for future growth and development
- Liaising with stakeholders (design, development, and construction) and providing the necessary construction input and updates
- Undertake due diligence reviews and communicate findings and implications to the relevant stakeholders
- Manage construction delivery including overseeing delivery partners, programmes and budgets
Demonstrated expertise in managing the process of delivering residential apartment projects is essential. Projects will typically be in the range of 40 to 60 apartments with an understanding of the needs of accessible accommodation. An understanding of how projects are developed to be held rather than sold off the plan would be desirable but not essential. Being able to explain the significance of managing a broad range of stakeholders to achieve a project-specific outcome is significant
