Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Parts Manager to join our team based at our well-equipped Newman workshop. This is a key leadership role within the branch, ideal for someone who enjoys responsibility, autonomy, and working closely with workshop operations in a regional environment.
Parts Manager – Newman, WA
Job tasks and responsibilities
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the parts department, including:
* Managing and maintaining core stock levels
* Ordering, receipting, and entering stock
* Allocating parts to vehicle jobs and work orders
* Sourcing parts to support mechanical quotations
* Maintaining strong relationships with OEM and aftermarket suppliers
* Negotiating and sourcing best pricing for customers
* Mentoring and supporting junior parts staff
* Ensuring parts availability to minimise workshop downtime
You will be working with major OEM brands including Fuso, Iveco, Scania, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Detroit, and Freightliner .
Skills and experience
* Previous Parts Interpreter experience (essential)
* Strong knowledge of truck and passenger vehicle parts
* Experience working with OEM parts catalogues and systems
* Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills
* High motivation and a genuine desire to grow your career
* Trade qualification preferred but not essential
