Job Description
This position involves teaching primary school students and creating effective lesson plans that demonstrate clear alignment with Biblical principles and sound doctrine. The successful applicant will also be responsible for assessing student progress, providing feedback and reporting student performance to parents and other stakeholders.
The teacher will work collaboratively with the school executive to ensure that teaching and learning programs meet the needs of all students. They will also be expected to maintain accurate student attendance records and identify, assess and manage risks associated with planned learning activities.
* Plan, prepare and deliver effective teaching and learning programs which demonstrate clear alignment with Biblical principles and sound doctrine.
* Assess and record student progress carefully and appropriately, and provide timely feedback to students.
* Report and discuss student progress and performance with parents, the College and other stakeholders as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A committed Christian faith that is overt and allows for discussion and prayer about matters of faith.
* Relevant teaching qualifications with current accreditation.
* A clear and well-articulated understanding of what it means to be a Christian teacher and the role of Christian schooling.
* Primary Teaching qualifications and experience.
* Demonstrated ability to use a range of teaching strategies that meet students where they are individually and collectively.
