Overview
Works Supervisor Operations - Gloucester at MidCoast Council (Careers at Council). Based at the Gloucester depot, the role reports to the Works Engineer (Construction & Maintenance) and coordinates work crews to deliver services on transport assets.
Responsibilities
* Construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, footpaths, cycleways and storm-water drainage networks.
* Providing construction and maintenance services to transport assets.
* Delivering planned maintenance programs.
* Delivering capital works projects.
* Emergency/disaster response and repair (respond to emergencies and natural disaster damage on transport assets, including repairs).
Qualifications
* Minimum of Certificate III in Civil Construction or relevant experience, and working knowledge of road, drainage and bridge construction and maintenance.
* Demonstrate strong leadership skills, such as communication, delegation and people management.
* Commitment to achieving organisational outcomes through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
* Sound working knowledge of WHS requirements in construction and maintenance and contribution to safety culture values.
* Effective time-management and problem-solving capabilities.
* Ability to be part of an on-call rotating roster.

Salary and Location
Salary: Commencing salary package circa range $85,900 to $103,150 p.a. plus superannuation (dependent on candidate's skills and experience).
Location: Based at the Works Depot located on Oak Street, Gloucester. May be required to work from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
