Rehabilitation Nursing Opportunities
Mater Private Hospital Townsville is seeking experienced nurses to join our growing Rehabilitation ward. A permanent part-time position working 32 hours a week is available, involving a 24/7 rotating roster with morning, late, night shifts, and occasional weekend shifts.
Our Rehab ward cares for diverse orthopaedic, general medical, and surgical patients, supporting their journey to functional recovery and safe return home. Our multidisciplinary team includes specialists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, speech therapists, dietitians, exercise physiologists, psychologists, podiatrists, orthotists/prosthetists, and pharmacists.
Key Responsibilities:
* Achieve optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care.
* Provide technical assistance during procedures, ensuring excellent standards of nursing care.
* Demonstrate exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and patient management.
* Implement strategies for quality and risk management in service provision.
* Work collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care.
* Maintain current knowledge and skills for continued professional growth.

Requirements:
* Current AHPRA nursing registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions).
* Minimum 12 months postgraduate experience.
* Demonstrated rehabilitation nursing experience.
* Ability to work in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to liaise with all levels of the multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, and strong listening, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Commitment to ensuring the levels of service are always delivered to patients at all times.
