About the Role
We are actively seeking a specialist to deliver our Work Ready, Release Ready (WRRR) service in Port Lincoln. You will support prisoners pre‐release and post‐release from local prisons, engaging them in services to facilitate a smooth transition into society and reduce re‐offending. The role involves preparing prisoners for release, case‐managing them, and identifying and addressing vocational and non‐vocational support after release, including employment placement and six months or more of post‐placement mentoring.
This part‐time position requires 24 hours per week with negotiable working days. A current driver's licence and regular travel are essential.
About You
To be successful you will have:
* Demonstrated experience mentoring a disadvantaged cohort
* Strong data entry skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, and typing speed of at least 30 words per minute
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of services
* Cultural competence in working respectfully with Indigenous Australians
* Experience in the prison system or with ex‐offenders (desired)
Required qualifications and attributes:
* Hold a current driver's licence
* Minimum Certificate IV in Employment Services, social sciences or a related discipline
Remuneration
A competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. As a public benevolent institution, a portion of the salary may be offered through tax‐effective salary packaging.
