GD Recruitment are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Electrician to join a growing team delivering solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) installations across Victoria. The successful candidate must hold both a current Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence and a Victorian Electrical Contractor Licence, enabling them to carry out and sign off on electrical works in accordance with state regulatory requirements. This role is critical to the successful delivery commercial, and utility solar and BESS projects, and involves hands-on electrical installation, system commissioning, fault finding, and compliance with Australian standards. Key Responsibilities Install, test, commission, and maintain solar PV systems and battery energy storage systems. Lead and supervise onsite electrical work ensuring all works comply with relevant standards (AS/NZS 3000, 5139, 4777, etc.). Sign off on Certificates of Electrical Safety (COES) under the Victorian Energy Safe requirements. Coordinate with project managers, apprentices, subcontractors, and other trades on project sites. Perform safety testing and ensure systems meet Clean Energy Council (CEC) standards. Troubleshoot and rectify faults in solar PV, inverters, switchboards, and battery systems. Maintain accurate documentation including wiring diagrams, installation checklists, and commissioning reports. Ensure all work complies with WHS requirements and internal safety procedures. Mentor apprentices and junior electricians as required.
