Visiting Medical Officer in Emergency Medicine (FACEM or FRACP PEM)

Multiple fixed‐term temporary roles – 12 months
Rostered shifts equivalent of 3.0FTE available
Applications are sought from suitably qualified Consultant Emergency Physicians for a fixed‐term, 12‐month position at John Hunter Hospital. This role includes guaranteed rostered weekend and evening VMO shifts (equivalent 3.0FTE available) in the Emergency Department, providing contemporary, comprehensive specialist care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Role Requirements
- Medical Registration – must hold a primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA.
- Fellowship – either FACEM or FRACP Paediatrician with a Specialisation in Emergency Medicine (FRACP PEM).
- Clinical Responsibilities – admitting, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient, telehealth, and on‐call services as required by HNELHD.
- Education & Research – contribution to training, supervision, and ongoing clinical education within the department.
