Role Overview
We are a small kitchen and at Market Organics Cafe you'll be working alongside another chef. You'll prepare menus that highlight organic, seasonal ingredients ensure food safety and compliance, and inspire your team to deliver consistently high-quality dishes. You will also be responsible for ensuring all the diffent dietary requirements such as, vegan dishes, gluten free, dairy free, etc, are complied to the strictest standards. This is a hands-on role that blends creativity, leadership, and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute menus featuring organic, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients
* Champion sustainability and minimize food waste through smart planning and preparation
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and consistency in food quality
* Ensuring strict food hygiene and safety standards,
* Collaborate with café management to align menu offerings with brand values and customer expectations.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience as a Chef in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting
* Strong knowledge of organic, plant-forward, and sustainable cooking practices
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to balance creativity with operational efficiency
* Passion for organic food, artisanal quality, and community-driven dining
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $30.95 – $46.57 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
