Café Brass Bell operates across two relaxed coastal café venues in Forster and Darawank, serving holidaymakers, caravan park guests, and friendly local regulars. We’re known for valuable coffee, great food, and a laid‑back, modern atmosphere.
The Role:
We’re seeking a reliable, experienced Cook to join our team across both locations. You’ll prepare and cook high‑quality café‑style meals, maintain kitchen standards, and help keep service smooth during busy holiday periods.
Key Duties:
- Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch and light dinner menu items.
- Assist with menu planning, portion control, and stock management.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Supervise or train junior kitchen staff as needed.
- Work flexibly between our Forster and Darawank cafés as rostered.
Requirements:
- Certificate III (or higher) in Commercial Cookery preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a cook or chef in a café or bistro environment.
- Understanding of kitchen safety, hygiene and HACCP standards.
- Ability to work weekends and public holidays during peak seasons.
- Team-focused, adaptable and able to work in both café locations.
